Christophoros Katsadiotis was born in Athens in 1971. For fifteen years, he worked as a journalist in television, radio, and print media. He graduated with honors from the School of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2009–2014). During his studies, he also attended printmaking courses at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland, through the LLP-Erasmus program. His print works have been used by several publishing houses in Greece and France.
In 2015, the theaters Eurydice, Zéro, and Théâtre du Cristal in Paris used his prints to promote their performances. On March 10, 2025, during the group exhibition The Allure of the Bizarre at the National Gallery in Athens, a member of a far-right political party tore down and destroyed four icon-like prints by the artist, denouncing them as “blasphemous.”
On May 16, 2025, in Thessaloniki, Katsadiotis was attacked by members of religious and far-right organizations while participating as a guest speaker at a conference organized by Visual Arts Educators of Northern Greece. He had been invited to speak on the theme “Themes That Disturb.” Police and riot units intervened.
One year after the vandalism incident, he presented the shadow theater performance Karagiozis at the National Gallery and the Ghosts of Other Times at the Kakogiannis Foundation, for which he wrote the script and created the figures himself.
In March 2026, the biographical documentary The Engraver – Christophoros Katsadiotis, produced by Sissy Morfi, was presented at the 28th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. Since 2014, he has contributed articles to the Greek press on visual arts events in Paris. He is a member of the Association of Printmakers, the Taylor Foundation, and the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. He lives and works in Paris and Athens.
