She was born in 1967 in Thionville, France, and lives in Strasbourg.
She studied photography at Indiana University, USA, in 1993/1994 in the Fine Arts Department and taught languages in the French Department.
She returned to the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship in 2002/2003 and focussed on social photography in the New York area. Back in France, her interest in Roma communities grew as she realised that photography can change mentalities and help break down prejudices against them.
Her series Enfances Tsiganes was exhibited at the Médiathèque André Malraux in Strasbourg in October 2009 on the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. It was then exhibited at the Council of Europe on International Roma Day. It helped to raise awareness of the growing problem of stigmatisation in France and to sensitise the public to the evictions of some families. She became more present in the settlements, supported Roma families, took the children on excursions, organised food, clothing collections and fundraising campaigns.
Her photographic works travelled through France, Lille, Paris, Metz at festivals, they were associated with jazz musicians and dancers (company ‘Mémoires Vives’) and used as teaching material in schools. She is currently working on various projects for the city of Strasbourg in collaboration with the Roma Mission: Photographic murals and teaching basic photography skills to Roma children.
