Suisse Marocain s a long-standing resident artist and co-founder of the Parisian art centre 59Rivoli. He lives between Germany, France and Madagascar. Everything that passes through his hands becomes art: his suitcases, textiles, cards and diaries. His life is an ongoing artistic and conceptual work. In his large-scale maps, which he repaints to the point of making them unrecognisable, Coblenz-based artist and self-proclaimed ‘Suisse Marocain’ David Hardy tackles the theme of a life as a bridge between cultures and a defender of artistic otherness.
