Béla Váradi

As a Roma documentary photographer based in London, Várady’s journey from a Roma-Hungarian working-class upbringing to advocating for human rights and LGBTQI+ experiences through visual storytelling has been transformative. From painting to journalism and now photography, he strived to redefine the narrative surrounding Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller (GRT) communities, challenging stereotypes and embracing our rich culture. Várady work has been recognised internationally and exhibited at renowned venues.
