Collection Kai Dikhas
The Collection Kai Dikhas is one of Europe’s leading collections dedicated to contemporary art by artists from the Roma and Sinti diaspora. Bringing together more than 320 works by artists from across Europe, it offers a unique insight into the diversity and complexity of contemporary artistic practices shaped by transnational experiences, cultural memory, and individual perspectives.Through painting, photography, sculpture, installation, printmaking, and digital media, the collection documents key artistic positions that engage with questions of identity, representation, belonging, and cultural agency. Rather than constituting a homogeneous narrative, the collection foregrounds a multiplicity of voices and aesthetic approaches, reflecting the dynamic and heterogeneous nature of contemporary artistic production within the Roma and Sinti diaspora. As an evolving collection, Kai Dikhas serves as a platform for research, exhibition-making, and critical discourse, contributing to the visibility and recognition of artists from the Roma and Sinti diaspora within contemporary art histories and institutions.
